Biography
Svetlana Ermolaeva has got a Master degree in Mathematics and Applied Physics at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (Russia). In 1994, she got PhD in Microbiology and Genetics at Gamaleya Research Centre of Epidemiology and Microbiology, Moscow, Russia. Dr. Ermolaeva did her postdoc at Complutence Univeristy, Madrid, Spain and Leon University, Spain, in 1999-2001. In 2004 she got the degree of the Doctor of Science at the Gamaleya Centre where she has been leading the Laboratory of Ecology of Pathogenic Bacteria since 2005. Since 2006, Prof. Ermolaeva is a Lecturer in Microbiology, Sechenov Medical University, Moscow, Russia. In 2015-2020 Prof. Ermolaeva was a BoD member of International Society for Plasma Medicine (ISPM). She is an expert of IEC TC62/SC62D and Russian Science Foundation. Since 2006, Prof. Ermolaeva supervised more than 15 postgraduate students and 8 PhD thesis were defended under her leadership.
