Biography
Jun-Seok Oh received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Kwangwoon University, Seoul, Korea, in 2001 and 2003, respectively. He joined the International Doctoral Program in Engineering, Japan, in October 2003 and received his Ph.D. from Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan, in November 2006. He carried out his early research careers at Kochi University of Technology, Tohoku University, Liverpool University, and Meijo University before he joined the Graduate School of Engineering at Osaka City University as an associate professor in 2018. He became a full professor at Osaka City University in 2021. He is currently a full professor at the Department of Physics and Electronics, Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka Metropolitan University, which was merged with Osaka City University and Osaka Prefectural University in 2022. His current research interests are developing new atmospheric-pressure plasma technology based on optical and electrical plasma diagnostic techniques. Recently, he has become interested in plasma biomedical applications. He is a member of the Japan Society of Applied Physics (JSAP) and a member of the Institute of Physics (IOP), UK.
