Biography
Min Jang, Ph.D., earned his doctoral degree in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. Over the past 22 years, he has engaged in diverse research initiatives focused on water treatment. His extensive experience includes contributions at the Korea Mine Reclamation Corporation (MIRECO, now KOMIR) in the Republic of Korea, as well as roles at Pennsylvania State University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he served as a Senior Research Fellow.
Min Jang's research portfolio encompasses environmental nanotechnologies, geochemistry, and process water treatments. With a track record of over 150 peer-reviewed articles, his work has notably addressed arsenic and heavy metals remediation, mine reclamation, and advanced oxidation processes (AOP).
Since 2016, Min Jang has held the position of a professor at Kwangwoon University. His current focus involves dedicating his expertise to developing cost-effective nano-structured adsorbents and catalysts for the treatment of both organic and inorganic toxic pollutants, including plasma technology.
